The Department of Computer and Information Systems Engineering offers a four year Bachelor of Engineering program in Computer and Information Systems Engineering, Masters of Engineering programs in Computer Systems Engineering by course work or by research, as well as a PhD program.

To keep pace with the growing field of Computer Engineering, the department continuously revises its curriculum with the approval of the University's Board of Studies and other statutory bodies.

Like all other departments at NED University, annual system of examination is prevalent at the Undergraduate level, while semester system is used at the graduate level.

Since its inception in 1997, the department has been striving continuously to not only strengthen its faculty, classroom and laboratory facilities but also to create a serene surrounding environment to stimulate the desire to learn.

The department has been a pioneer at NED University in many respects. We have set trends that are now being followed by many other departments. We have a hard working team of faculty and staff. The selfless devoted work of our faculty and staff has regularly been appreciated by the University administration in many different ways.

We have received continuous support from our alumni who keep helping us with donations in terms of software, hardware, books, as well as by conducting guest lectures on the latest trends in Computer Engineering and offering guidance to students.

Visitors from abroad have appreciated the department's performance and the progress it has made. The visitors have also been impressed by the aptitude of the students and have appreciated their achievements.
