Dr.
Irtishad Ahmad is a Professor in Construction Management in
the
College
of
Engineering
and Computing at
Florida
International
University
. He earned his doctoral degree in civil engineering in 1988
from
University
of
Cincinnati
. His research interests include civil engineering
infrastructure development, national development, and ICT in
construction organizations. He taught previously in
North Dakota
State
University
,
University
of
Cincinnati
, and Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology.
Dr. Ahmad is a consultant and a practicing engineer. He
is a frequent speaker in national and international
conferences on topics ranging from information technology in
construction to effects of wind loading on structures. He
completed several funded research projects in construction and
published extensively. He is the current Editor-in-Chief of
the Journal of Management in Engineering, published by the
American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE).
