The Urban Engineering Day was held on Saturday, 7th April, 2012 by the Department of Urban and Infrastructure Engineering in the Auditorium of NED University of Engineering and Technology
In line with its futuristic vision NED University introduced Urban Engineering in the year 2001. This new field of engineering is aimed to produce a breed of engineers capable to understand the dynamics of engineering problems emanating as a result of massive urbanization and provide scientific and indigenous solutions. With an objective to inculcate in the students a thorough understanding of the importance and applications of Urban Engineering in the local environment, the Department of Urban and Infrastructure Engineering came up with the idea of arranging an event in order to bridge the gap between related industries and students of this discipline. The event was graced by Vice Chancellor NED University, Engr. Abul Kalam, Pro-Vice Chancellor II, Prof. Dr. S. F. A. Rafeeqi and Dean Civil Engineering and Architecture Faculty, Prof. Dr. Sarosh H. Lodi, along with Mr. Farhat Adil, and Mr.Sajjad Anwer Khan, from NESPAK.
