S. Zaffar Qasim has been associated with the department of Computer and Information Systems Engg since year 2000 as Assistant Professor. After completing his BE (Computer Systems) from NED university in 1991, he immediately joined the Institute of Industrial Electronics Engg (PCSIR) as Sr. Instructor (Computer). While teaching at IIEE (PCISR), he also earned a degree in Master of Business Administration from IBA, Karachi. However, the strong urge and drive to serve his alma mater brought him back to NED where he acquired another Masters degree in Computer Systems in 2007.

The intuitive feeling of having strong flair in software modeling and programming steered him towards the teaching of software-related courses. He has taught following courses at undergraduate level:-

Research Interests/Activities

His present research interest is focused towards exploring the feasibility of automating the testing of large-scale software.
