Personal Statement

An individual of diverse and dynamic skill sets. I believe in employing technology for real world problem solving with a focus on Power Systems. I have developed an acumen for combining power systems and computers this has led me to build a visualization platform for power system state monitoring employing PMU data. I aim to further my expertise in computer applications for power systems and allied areas. .

Projects Supervised

- Smart Visualization of Power System employing PMU Data (2015), the project used to render heat maps for power system events for prerecorded data using Google Maps API v3. The data was acquired by simulating IEEE 39 Bus Model with PSS/E. Data was also brought in line with IEEE C37.118.2™-2011 using Matlab.
- Digital Instrumentation & Visualization of Conventional Automobile (2015), the project used Arduino Microcontroller to read vital automobile readings e.g. Fuel level, temperature, rpm, AC status, headlight, indicators etc and displayed these values on an Android App in an intuitive manner.
- Synchronization of Karachi Electric Supply Company (KESC) with Geographical Information System (2013), the project was conducted with the support of KESC (local power company). Aim of the project was to map company’s resources on GIS map for decision making and planning.
