INSIGHT – the first official e-zine of the NED University of Engineering & Technology can be viewed as an outcome of the impact that the globalization and the information and communication revolution has brought to the present era at the turn of the last century. In the age of networking and information sharing, forums that allow speedy dissemination of information alongside access to valuable information to the interested individuals are considered as valuable and vital trait of progressive organizations.

BILINGUAL LITERARY RECITAL CONTEST
An event organized by MOSAIC was held on the 16th of April, 2009.Dr. Sajida Zaki and Ms. Afifa who were the judges, must have had a pretty hard time selecting the best of the lot. Three prizes each for Urdu and English were given away

SENTEC SCIENCE
QUIZ 2009 was held on March 25, 2009, Fourteen teams representing different departments participated in the inter-university event competing in the areas of Chemistry, Mathematics, Physics and Engineering.

A seminar organized by the Mechanical Dept. on March 28, 2009, Dr Amir Siddique, a PhD from Germany spoke on the subject and shared his work and contributions.

4th Students’ Project Exhibition & Competition (SPEC) 2009 was organized by Electronic Department on 20th April. It was inaugurated by Vice Chancellor along with Dean Electrical & Computer Engineering.

Was held by MOSAIC(Members of Society of Arts & Intellectual Creativity) on the 5th of May, 2009. The organizing team of MOSAIC received immense amounts of artistic inputs from the NEDians for the exhibition

SPRING FESTIVAL
Celebrated on 26 February 2009, event inaugurated by the Vice Chancellor, NEDUET, Students and commercial brands set up stalls related to food, consumer goods, fun and games. Media personalities visited the event and were the judges for the NED IDOL singing competition.
