NEDuet’s Debating Society is BACK IN ACTION, determined to find the best of debaters amongst us & bring them to the podium of opportunities. This year, the Society arranged an All Karachi Inter-University Bilingual Declamation Contest. It was held under the management of Mr. Muhammad Fareed (Dar)- Lecturer in English at the Department of Humanities. The contest took place on the 17th of April, 2010 at NED University’s auditorium. The contest was open to teams from all over Karachi. A total of 18 teams participated. Each team comprised of two members, one for English and one for Urdu. Teams from the following institutes participated:

To inspire these extra-ordinary debaters of Karachi, the Debating Society managed to persuade one of the best speakers in our country today to attend the event as the Chief Guest:
Prof. Dr. Muhammad. Tufail (Dean Chemical and Process Engineering; NED University of Engineering & Technology). He was extremely delighted to be a part of the event & thoroughly enjoyed the clash of logic and the expression of ideas by various speakers .
