The Department of Environmental Engineering at NEDUET has always been active in spreading awareness amongst students regarding Environmental issues & the role we can play to surpass these problems.

NEDuet’s Debating Society is BACK IN ACTION, determined to find the best of debaters amongst us & bring them to the podium of opportunities. This year, the Society arranged an All Karachi Inter-University Bilingual Declamation Contest

THE purpose of LUMUN’09 was creating awareness amongst the youth about pressing world issues, inculcating diplomacy skills, giving back to the society, raising Pakistan’s flag high and proud and, above all, making sure that the delegates leave having learned that: Fighting is Never the Solution.

TechElite'10
The All Pakistan mega IT exhibition and competition TechElite'10 was held on 29th April 2010 at NED University of Engineering and Technology.
INTER DEPARTMENTAL SPORTS
Along with studies the sports activities were always at the peak in NED UNIVERSITY, in which many students participate. These activities are organized by CSA SPORTS SECTION.
SENTEC SCIENCE
QUIZ 2009 was held on March 25, 2009, Fourteen teams representing different departments participated in the inter-university event competing in the areas of Chemistry, Mathematics, Physics and Engineering. Telecom Engineering Team secured First Prize, while Civil Engineering and Medical Engineering Teams were the 1st and 2nd Runner-ups respectively.
ARTS AND CRAFT EXHIBITION & CONTEST
Was held by MOSAIC(Members of Society of Arts & Intellectual Creativity) on the 5th of May, 2009.The organizing team of MOSAIC received immense amounts of artistic inputs from the NEDians for the exhibition, comprising of photography, painting, calligraphy, sketching & poster displays. As an innovative addition to this, MOSAIC also pooled an on the Spot Contest for photography & sketching.Media coverages of different T.v Channels were also there.Ms. Nayyar Wajid, the fine arts teacher at the Architecture Department , & Ms. Samina Zafar, a versatile artist, were invited to do the difficult task of judging.

The bilingual literary recital contest, held on the 16th of March 2010, was one of the most awaited & popular events of the year 2010 at NED. Due to its huge success in 2009, the number of applicants had tripled compared to the previous year, & the number of participants doubled.
INFORMATIC
The month of August marked the happening of a Mega Event, INFORMATIC, a multi seminar session organized by IEEE NEDUET and WIE AFFINITY GROUP in collaboration with ZUMBEEL. The event marked the celebration of 27 years of IEEE NEDUET and 125 years of IEEE. It happened to be predominantly different from the conventional seminars of its kind, respecting the interest of people belonging to both technical and non-technical backgrounds. Seminars in parallel were held in NED Auditorium and CIS Lecture Hall. The main objective behind organizing this event was to make students familiar with the standards in Engineering Industry. In addition, also help them in planning their career in various fields of Electrical and Electronic Engineering
