Spring Festival 2011

The most frequently heard statement after this year’s event was, “This one was way better than the previous two”. A brief description of some areas of this festival are explicitly mentioned below:

The Layout of the Canopy:

• This year the layout designed was circular, as a result of which each and every stall got the exposure it needed.
• The entire ground area of almost 300 feet was covered with carpets mostly, this helped the visitors create a neat and clean image of the canopy. Most importantly, it helped in managing the crowd because there came a time when students sat on the carpet. Cumulatively, this long stay of the crowd helped almost every stall in attaining reasonable profit.
• The design of the entrance & exit was intelligently created, thereby helping in crowd management.

The Teachers & other faculty members:

• The teachers were the heads of all the four committes that erected this festival. It must not be overlooked, that these teachers and all the remaining faculty, fulfilled their duties more efficiently and effectively than any other group which was responsible for managing this event.

The Organizers & Volunteers:

• All the organizers were devotedly working in their respective duties. See the List
• The volunteers also played their part, especially around the vicinity of the stage.

The Security:

• Security personel were honestly fulfilling their duties in their respective places.

The Celebrities:

• The celebrities invited this year were Ali Safina, the famous VJ & RJ, along with the famous actor, Fahad Mustafa. Their entrance and their exit in and out of the canopy was handled brilliantly by the organizers, at the back stage.
• The organizers even provided full security and comfort to the invited celebrities on the stage & also thoughout the event.
• Ali Safina even held auditions for selecting a VJ during the festival, many students did take part in this audition. The volunteers & organizers provided him with full proof security while he was inside the canopy and everything occurred smoothly.

The Sponsors/ Vendors:

• There were suffient amount of vendors present, and they were facilitated and handled very effectively by the Marketing and Financing Committee before the event and also on the event day.
  
  

The Higher Faculty:

• The VC and his family paid a visit to every stall. And, their round of the canopy was very smoothly handled without any hurdles or mishaps, thanks to the teachers and organizers involved in the upbringing of this event.

CONCLUSION
In a nutshell, this year the Spring festival was handled very efficiently by the organizers and the faculty involved. With many lessons yet to learn, and keeping in mind the mishaps that took place this year, the students must be persuaded to put up an even better event for the year 2012.
