Introduction

The event of Mehfil-e-Milad is being organized by NEDEA (NED Employees Association) since three years; this year being the fourth time.

It was a heart-touching event, since the participants had an opportunity to pay regards to the Holy Prophet Muhammad (Peace be upon Him).

Event Details

The event was held on February 20, 2012, at the auditorium of NEDUET, between 2:00-5:00pm. The classes finished off at 1:00pm and special shuttle service was provided at 5:00pm so that everyone could have the chance to attend this auspicious event. As a result, the auditorium was a houseful. The event started off with the recitation of Holy Qur’an. All the Naat-Khwans and the speakers paid their tribute to the Prophet (P.B.U.H.) in a tone that inspired the listeners.

The chief guests of the event were Mehmood-ul-Hasan Ashrafi (Lecturer SSUET, Controller Islamic Programs, ARY channel), Hafiz Bilal Qadri (student of Dars-e-nizami, Jaamiatul Noor), Muzaffar Shah ( Hateeb Habibia Masjid Dhoraji)  

and Al-Haaj Zubair Makki (NaatKhuwan).

Other guests included Mufti Akmal Qadri from QTV, MajeedUllah Qadri (Chairman Petroleum Department at University of Karachi), Prof. Farooq Hasan from (Professor of Islamic Studies at NED) and Abdul Habib Attari who did the prayers.

Conclusion

The event concluded with a heartfelt prayer by Abdul Habib Attari, with lunch boxes beingdistributed amongst the attendees and the participants.

Mehfil-e-Milad was indeed a very heart touching and a blessed event with attendees witnessing its sheer devoutness.
