Abstract:
Image enhancement is a challenging task which aims to produce an output image with improved quality than input to better suite a specific application. This paper presents typical implementation of a fuzzy rule-based contrast enhancement system. The application of this fuzzy expert system on a dataset of one hundred twenty five images has successfully produced enhanced output images with a success rate of ninety-one percent assessed by the natural image quality evaluator index.
