Hamdard Matab, Karachi:
Renovation, Restoration & Repairs (2010-In progress)

Hamdard Matab, at Rambaugh, being associated with legendary Hakim Mohammad Saeed (medical researcher, scholar, philanthropist), holds iconic historical value as the place from where he practiced and imparted his knowledge of Eastern Medicines; and it was near this building on 17th October 1998 that he was assassinated by unknown assailants. The Hamdard Foundation initiated a project for the restoration of this historic building and approached HC-DAPNED to work as conservation consultants on this project. After complete measured documentation of the premises a proposal was submitted for ‘Hamdard Matab Restoration/ Conservation’ and work is presently at its final stages of implementation.
