Introduction:

The structure of an Audit Department may vary greatly from one organisation to another, depending on the size and nature of the business but the role that Audit Department plays in an organization remains vital in NED University of Engineering & Technology being the educational organization the role that Audit Department plays remains the same. In this respect, Audit Department conducts Internal Audit, Audit of various nature of vouchers (arising not only from the Recurring Account of the University but also from Research, UDWP, Self Finance, MoST Endowment Funds, Sultan Qaboos IT Chair Fund, number of development projects etc.) and other function as per requirement and benefit of this University

The resident Auditor is responsible for all matters concerning

• Pre and Post Audit of bills.
• Post audit of Annual Statements of Income and Expenditure Accounts.
• Physical verification of stores and accounts records.
