Introduction
Welcome to the Department of Students’ Affairs (DSA) that aims to facilitate you throughout your stay at this academia through a wide range of activities, services and resources that are provided to students related with their academic, co-curricular and professional pursuits. The department is actively helping students in becoming aware of the different opportunities and services that are made available to them through the concerted efforts of the university management and the staff at the DSA. The DSA offers and awards scholarships to the deserving students of NED University through private funded donors, govt., etc. This department organizes multiple events/ programmes in collaboration with the different society in-charges. Sports Section of this department provides various sports facilities and arranges different sports activities. Students are facilitated with bus passes on nominal charges as well as with concession on travelling fare for train and plane. Various Canteens are functioning under the DSA to provide hygienic and quality food to the students. Photocopy shops are also functioning under DSA where students can get photocopies on reasonable rates. Girls Common Room facilities (GCR) and Boys Common Room (BCR) are maintained and furnished with necessary comfort for female and male students. In addition to above DSA issues Clearance Certificate to outgoing students, and also facilitates the students by attesting academic documents of the students for PEC Registration and Higher Studies.

Core Objective
The Department of Students’ Affairs (DSA) at NED University of Engineering and Technology, one of Pakistan’s most prestigious institutions, is dedicated to fostering an environment that supports academic excellence and holistic student development. The department ensures that both educational and co-curricular needs of students are met through diverse facilities, programs, and support services.
Main Activities
The DSA facilitates scholarships for deserving and meritorious students through private donors, government programs, and other funding sources. It also organizes a wide range of events, programs, and sports activities throughout the academic year, in collaboration with student societies and the Sports Section, as outlined in the Annual Events Calendar.
Beyond academics, DSA provides guidance and opportunities for students to participate in various extra and co-curricular activities, enhancing their leadership, teamwork, and social engagement skills.
To ensure student convenience and welfare, DSA manages several essential services, including:
- Transportation facilitation through issuance of bus passes and concession processing for railway and air travel.
- Canteen services across Main, City, and LEJ Campuses offering hygienic and affordable food options.
- Plain Paper Photocopier (PPC) facilities for academic needs.
- Boys’ and Girls’ Common Rooms, equipped with prayer areas and basic amenities.
- Issuance of Clearance Certificates for outgoing students.
- Attestation of academic documents for PEC registration and higher studies.

How to Avail Our Services
Scholarships:
Eligible students may apply for scholarships on Need-cum-Merit basis by submitting the prescribed application form and required documents through their respective Class Advisors once the call for applications is announced on departmental notice boards and other social media channels.
Co-Curricular Activities:
Students interested in joining university societies may obtain membership information and procedure through the respective society in-charges during the academic year.
Bus Passes:
Students can obtain bus passes by depositing Rs. 2,250/- in the designated bank and submitting the receipt to the DSA. Upon verification, monthly bus passes are issued.
Clearance Certificates:
Students completing their degree programs may apply for their degree through the clearance certificate process managed by the DSA.
