Dean Faculty of Architecture and Sciences (ASC)

I am honoured and privileged to share this message as the Dean, Faculty of Architecture and Sciences (ASC), NED University of Engineering and Technology, Karachi.

Seven departments are working under the umbrella of Faculty of Architecture and Sciences. The faculty comprises the Departments of Architecture & Planning; Economics and Management Sciences; Mathematics; Physics; Chemistry; English Linguistics & Allied Studies; and Essential Studies. All departments are well established and offer undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral programmes.

The faculty’s true strength lies in its highly capable and dedicated team of faculty members, researchers, and administrative staff. At regular intervals, enthusiastic and academically motivated students join our programmes, further enriching the academic environment. The teaching departments consistently organise conferences, seminars, symposia, colloquia, and other academic activities, providing valuable platforms for knowledge exchange, collaboration, and intellectual growth.

We maintain effective collaborations with academic institutions and research organisations across the globe. These partnerships have resulted in numerous joint research projects and scholarly publications. The faculty has produced a substantial number of graduates who are contributing meaningfully to economic growth as well as social and cultural development, not only in Karachi and Pakistan but also internationally. Many of our graduates pursue higher education at leading local and overseas universities.

We look forward to strengthening linkages with academia, industry, and consulting organisations for professional collaboration and joint academic ventures. I am confident that the Faculty of Architecture and Sciences will continue to enhance the reputation of NED University and make the nation proud.
