Dean's Message |
It is both a unique privileged and an overwhelming responsibility to serve as the Dean, Faculty of Chemical and Process Engineering. This faculty consists of five departments which are Chemical Engineering, Materials Engineering, Metallurgical Engineering, Polymer & Petrochemical Engineering and Food Engineering Departments. The dedication of faculty and staff of these departments have helped achieving remarkable success, within this short span, in making their impression with academic excellence and professional preparation of their students. State of the art labs and modern software are used to impart practical knowledge to the students. Student exchange programmes are arranged to enable students in benefitting from academic and professional practices abroad. Significant collaboration with industry already exists in the departments which is continually being extended through further industry linkages and regular interactions with the industrial representatives visiting the departments. The graduates of these departments are doing very well in their respective industries. Professional societies in these departments are providing avenues for improving personal and technical skills of the students. All these initiatives and opportunities serve to create an environment wherein we find ourselves making the effort towards producing engineers who academically sound and professionally capable to respond positively to their discipline specific industries and responsibilities and make a positive difference through their leadership qualities.
