Dean's Message

It's my honour and privilege to write these introductory remarks as Dean, Faculty of Civil and Petroleum Engineering. The Faculty consists four highly vibrant departments, namely, Civil Engineering, Urban and Infrastructure Engineering, Petroleum Engineering and Earthquake Engineering. Each of these departments have an history of contributions to the scientific knowledge as well as provision of professional answers to various issues related to build infrastructures.

The Department of Civil Engineering carries the foundation history of the NED University, as "on August 29, 1921 College Principal C.S Shahani made a concerted effort to get Engineering Degree classes started to meet demands of Civil Engineers on the project for completion of the Sukkur Barrage". Other Departments, though formulated 2004 onwards, also have their footprints at national and international landscape.

In line with the vision of the University, the Faculty of Civil and Petroleum Engineering strives to produce professionals for providing leadership in their respective areas, at all the levels of their involvements, namely, academics, research and outreach.

Best Regards
