MEDICAL DEPARTMENT

Introduction:

Distinguishes itself from others by its structure, the nature of work undertaken and the importance of its activities. It consists of the main medical Department (NED Main Campus), Medical Sub Centre LEJ Campus and City Campus which deals with students / Employees of the University.

The working hours as given below:

The Medical Department comprises of doctors, Paramedical, and office staff, who dedicate their time in looking after the University students and employees during University timings.

Activities:

• The Medical Department believes in providing quality medical services to the University students / employees. The outpatient department service is conducted on daily basis in the main campus / peripheral centres.

• Annual Medical Examination / Screening tests of the candidates for undergraduate programme are performed in Medical department.

• Doctors also visit patients of NED, who are receiving treatment in direct panel    hospitals in the city.

• Reimbursement of medical bills to the employees are also being provided.

• Medical department has been imparting awareness regarding mental wellbeing and cognitive assessment among students / employees in collaboration with NCL of Biomedical engineering department.

• Medical assistance of a Psychologist is also being introduced in Medical department for facilitation of students and employees.

• Medical department has also been organizing camps for screening of oral health / hygiene / dental problems as well as eye checkup for students / employees.

• Besides that other health awareness programmes are also being arranged by medical department on different health problems, time to time. .
