Dear Alumni
As you appreciate that majority of students admitted in this University do belong to low income or mediocre families with limited financial resources. Most of the alumni of this institution who earlier belonged to similar group of people are now at high positions. Therefore, I am sure you will accept the fact that this transformation had some contribution of this great institution as well. I am pleased to share that some of our alumni while realizing this fact had generously been supporting their alma mater. Some of such supports include:
- Establishment of Building Modeling Lab at Civil Engineering Department
- Establishment of Jersey Precast Chair in Civil Engineering Department
- Solarization of class rooms at Civil Engineering Department
- Renovation of some class rooms at Mechanical Engineering Department
- Tree plantation at various locations of the University
- Scholarships of undergraduate students
- Financial Support for selected Final Year Project
- Best Teacher Award
- Best Publication Award
- PhD Assistantships
- Computing facilities for Industrial & Manufacturing, Urban, Mechanical Departments
While appreciating the efforts of these alumni, we would like to invite you for extending similar support to your alma mater as individual or group or a batch. Some of the possible projects that have been identified are enlisted as under:
o Renovation of Abul Kalam Library
o Solarization of AK Library and Admin block
o Solarization of each Academic Department (e.g. Mechanical, Electrical, Computer etc)
o Academic Tower (G + 5 blocks)
o Renovation of Student Canteens
o Construction of high quality General Store/Souvenir Shop
